About Us

Who We Are

Ebony Health Care Services Ltd is a combination of Ebony Homes (an independent social Landlord) and Ebony Support (a social care consultancy with a 10 year experience of managing innovative residential care homes and latterly supported Housing for clients with mental health illness and learning disabilities)

Since our launch in September 2014 our priority at Ebony Healthcare has always been to help and support individuals with complex and diverse needs to live a more independent and fulfilling lives. Our services will be a model of self-contained Housing with 24-hour on-site support provided by a Care Qualities Commission (CQC) Registered Domiciliary Care Agency.

Ebony Health Care Ltd provides good quality supported living, group living and domiciliary care services to adults and adolescents with long-term mental health difficulties within the community, which enables them to maintain their own independence and lifestyle. The service may vary from a very small amount of support weekly to a large and detailed package providing 24hr one-to-one care, this of course depends on the individual needs of the service user.

We make sure to go that extra mile to ensure the service user feel comfortable and at home. We understand that each person is different, and we respect that. Hence we take special care to cater to the needs of each individual that empowers freedom and choice.

We structure programmes of care with each individual together with their relative and social worker and we endeavour to deliver this care in a manner which maintains dignity, respect and recognise the clients’ fundamental human rights as a citizen. Ebony Health Care Ltd staff aim to support service users to increase their independence and daily living skills. Where appropriate and in keeping with the individuals goals, support will be provided to enable them to move on to more independent accommodation.

Service users are encouraged to develop the skills to tolerate and embrace all their experiences by developing intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. This involves initiatives including; group work, art/creative projects, individual psychology sessions, communal leisure activities, occupational therapy support and a day to day awareness that every interaction has the potential for developing a person’s sense of self.

Support is offered to include carers and family members. We believe that this approach combined with medical input (which offers opportunities for the alleviation of many of the intolerable experiences that mental illness can bring) can bring a fully integrated service to residents.

Staff receive professional development training and fortnightly supervision to enable them to work more effectively and therapeutically, engaging in new ideas and change. We believe that for Ebony Health Care Ltd to remain a lively pro-active provider of care, we must be open to developments and change. We maintain a comprehensive quality assurance programme to monitor and maintain core support standards.

Working with a number of local authorities, domiciliary care floating support and accommodation services can be tailor made to fit the individual person’s needs, including those with mental health, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and people leaving care. Service users who move on to independent flats receive outreach support for a minimum of 6 months while they settle and become established in their new accommodation and community. Our Mission

Built upon the principle of recovery and social inclusion, our philosophy is quality, respect and participation for all. We believe that quality of life is imperative in maintaining the will to return to a meaningful existence following a period of illness. The basic requirement to have a place to live, a job to do, an education and a meaningful social life is key in making this work. Our clients as the sole purpose of the service must be actively involved in shaping services, planning them, commissioning them and most importantly evaluating them.

To achieve this, we aim to provide comfortable housing with support and care services where the unique needs of each individual are recognised and skilled staff are available to provide support in a way which encourages self-determination, promotes self-esteem and enables each person to participate and to achieve their best possible quality of life.

We will go that extra mile to make the service user feel comfortable and at home. We understand that each person is different in their own way, and we respect that. Hence we take special care to cater to the needs of each client that empowers freedom and choice.
